Spelling Words For 1st Graders

Spelling Words For 1st Graders – Finally! A first-rate guide to understanding! I’m excited to share writing and study materials that require no PREP and make teaching writing fun! This curriculum is not a list of words that students will write down one week and forget the next. Alternatively, it’s a phonics and sight word-based writing resource that helps students master writing skills! And this is FUN!

This first grade curriculum focuses on phonics-based word learning rather than memorizing random names. The syllabus also includes comments.

Each week the first 6 words are focused on phonics or spelling. Like phonics-based reading instruction, phonics-based spelling deepens understanding of word patterns. So students don’t have to learn to write one word at a time. Instead, they will learn patterns that can be applied to each word. With phonics-based spelling, students will develop and improve their spelling skills for simple and complex words.
